Figure New Mexico Masters Iris Romero is a true fitness veteran. The 5’, 120 lbs., has been training for 10 years, competing for 7 years and coaching for 6 years. Iris says, "I have a passion for empowering others to regain control over their lives through health and wellness."

Iris' training regimen is geared to maintain a semi-lean physique but with the goal of adding quality muscle mass. "I’m most comfortable with training two muscle groups a day and switch it up about every 4-6 weeks. I use different modalities such as push/pull training, pause sets, pulses, ½ and ¼ reps, super sets as well as monster circuits. I also incorporate HIIT cardio training about 3-4 times per week and it ranges from plyometrics, to hill sprints, to running bleachers, to HIIT training on a stationary bike."
