Like so many others, I started practicing yoga for the physical benefits (flexibility, mobility, symmetry, balance etc) but have discovered a whole new dimension to it in the mental benefits.

There are many upsides to meditation (meditation; contemplation, thinking, reflecting, praying, the act of giving your attention to only one thing) and I think one of the main benefits in this day and age is that we simply give ourselves time to just shut off the noise. A moment to ‘be’ and reconnect with ourselves, to simplify this crazy world we live in 💙
